I like running, quite a lot really, that is probably a good job as this year I took a “sabbatical” from my “real” job, partly to allow me to spend more time training and developing another business for myself and wife Kim. But also to allow me to spend more time helping other people get fitter, healthier, improve their own running and hopefully achieve some goals that they have a strong desire to do.
I am fortunate enough to be sponsored by Montane and Chia charge, I also work closely with the Ultra runner store and my roots in trail running stem from the local and well respected Hardmoors series of races.
The hard-work and dedication we (Kim as well) have put in allows us to compete in some fantastic events, both in the UK and also Europe were we have enjoyed some great adventures and also successful results. We both enjoy the trails, fells, mountains and particularly longer Ultra distance races and even venture onto the black stuff from time to time – anywhere we can run we will go!
One of the things I enjoy so much about running and fitness is seeing how much other people get from this, no-one is to late to try and anyone at any level is welcome, I get just as much inspiration from helping someone complete their very first 5k parkrun as from helping someone succeed at a 100 mile race!
